Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information VITOWEB (vitoweb.al) collects when you play, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. VITOWEB is run by VitoWeb, Tirana, Albania (“we”, “us”). Questions: info@vitoweb.al.
The short version
- You can play without an account. We never ask for your real name, phone number or address.
- We use two cookies of our own and your browser’s local storage to make the games work.
- If you sign in with Google, we keep your Google account ID, email, name and profile picture so you can keep a username and friends.
- We don’t sell or rent your data.
- Ads, when shown, come from Google AdSense, which uses its own cookies. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
1. What we collect
When you play without an account
- Device cookie (
vw_id). A random ID that lets a table recognise your phone when you reconnect. It doesn’t contain your name. It lasts up to 400 days. - Local storage on your device. The name you type at the table, game settings, your last table, how many times you’ve played each game, and a random device key used to give you your seat back after a lost connection. This stays on your device, except for what is described in the next two points.
- Presence. While a page is open, it tells our server which screen you’re on (the home page or a game) and how often you’ve played each game. We use this to seat real people together and to show how many people are online. It is removed from our systems within about 15 minutes after you close the page.
- Game data. The names at a table, the cards, moves and scores. We need these to run the game. They are deleted when the table closes, and in any case after 6 hours without activity.
When you sign in with Google
- From Google: your Google account ID, email address, name and profile picture. We never receive your password and can’t see anything else in your Google account.
- What you add: the username you choose, your friends list, friend requests, and invitations to a table (invitations expire after 2 minutes).
- Session cookie (
vw_s). Keeps you signed in for up to 180 days, or until you sign out.
Technical and safety data
- Error reports. When something breaks, the page may send us the error message, the game, the table code and your browser type (user agent). We use these only to find and fix problems and keep them for up to 30 days.
- Network data. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, for example to limit how many rooms one connection can open per minute. Cloudflare may keep short-lived technical logs that include IP addresses. We don’t store IP addresses with your game or account data.
2. Why we use it
- To provide the games and your account: running tables, keeping your seat, your username and friends. This is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
- To keep the site working, safe and fair: preventing abuse and fixing errors. This is our legitimate interest in running a reliable service.
- Personalised advertising: where the law requires it, only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
3. Who can see what
- Other players at your table see the name you play under.
- Your friends see your username, your profile picture, whether you’re online and which game you’re in.
- Your email address is never shown to other players.
4. Advertising
VITOWEB is free because of ads. We may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and measure them, and may use your visits to this and other websites to show ads based on your interests.
- How Google uses information from sites that show its ads: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
- Turn off personalised ads from Google: My Ad Center. Other ad companies: youronlinechoices.eu or aboutads.info/choices.
- Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see Google’s consent message before any personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of the home page.
We never place ads on the playing table, near the game buttons or on Mafia and Imposter role cards.
5. Services we rely on
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the site, the game servers and our database.
- Google provides sign-in (Google Identity Services), ads (AdSense) and the web fonts on our pages (Google Fonts). When a page loads these, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address.
These companies operate worldwide, so your data may be processed outside Albania, including in the European Union and the United States, under their own safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses). We share data with them only to run the site. We don’t sell or rent personal data to anyone.
6. How long we keep it

7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time: open your account and press Fshi llogarinë (Delete account). Your account, the details we got from Google, your username, friends and requests are deleted immediately.
- Clear the data on your device by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
- Depending on where you live, including under Albania’s data protection law and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Write to info@vitoweb.al. We reply within 30 days.
- You can also complain to Albania’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner (idp.al) or to the data protection authority where you live.
8. Children
VITOWEB is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from them. Signing in with Google follows Google’s own age rules. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll also say so on the site.
